Aug 20, 2018 · Windows 2000 lacks built in VSS writers as I recall. So you are going to be stuck with offline converters. As I recall the last time I pulled a Server 2000 image I used Macrium Reflect, built a recovery CD, and offline imaged it to an external drive and used Macrium's .VHD converter.
