Unlucky are users in companies where the IE was rolled out without the user permission to change this value. So my summary: ENABLE native XMLHTTP support. and you will not have this problem.

Aug 14, 2017 · The code you are using should work fine in IE7 to determine that the "Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked. You can set the IE's document mode to check this issue. It seems that the window.XMLHttpRequest is always working on IE 8 and IE8+ no matter that the Enable Native XMLHTTP Support" option is checked or not.

Dec 08, 2012 · I didn't test this on IE7, but I have strong feeling there is the same issue, because i tested it on IE9 in three modes - IE7 mode (problem is present), IE8 mode (problem is present), IE9 mode (problem is not present).
