So 4 years later someone had the same problem and found no info on Google except this here, that did not help as installing new .net was out of the question, so here the fix for me As stated [System.ServiceModel.XmlSerializerFormatAttribute(SupportFaults=true)] is supported after .net 3.0 sp2 , 3.5 sp1 ...blah blah blah. so just delete the attribute commenting out the line will result in errors.
