As this will. definately force us to use an alternative product. which will run on our HP xw6200 dual processor. workstations, even though we feel VMware is overall a. superior product. So Intel processors used in HP xw6200 workstations do not support VT?

I knew the xw6200 quite good therefore I'm sure 98% sure that the processors do not support Hyper-V (VT/Execution Bit). Did you had afterwards upgraded the hardware to an newer generation CPU otherwise Hyper-V will not run there:-( To be sure, you should check at HP what they states.

Feb 11, 2010 · Hi all, As far as I am aware the latest bios release for the xw6200 was sometime in 2006. I have the most current bios on my machine and nowhere are you able to enable VT like in other machines I have worked with. SO, I dont think it is at all possible to have this feature on and use it with ESX/ESXi even if it is 64bit.
