May 10, 2003 · Regarding GAME progressive scan playback. 480i only is complete and utter crap. Quite a few games support 480p, and I think Halo/Dead or Alive both support 720p. There are sites that give lists of what games support what res. However, once again you can force games into progressive scan via some sorta patch.

Sep 08, 2005 · The Panasonic PD30 and PD50 sets officially support NTSC progressive scan and unofficially support PAL prog scan too - I'm running a 32" PD30 for PAL and NTSC prog scan out of my Xbox and my Denon 3910. My GameCube is also hooked up via component inputs but since I'm not using NTSC games, I'm not getting prog scan on that.

If my memory serves me correctly, I am pretty sure almost all of the cube games support progressive scan, they just removed the little icon on the back of the box.

Some VC games don't support progressive, though there is a button combo you can put in with the Wiimote + Nunchuck to either force 480i or force progressive to get around it. Mega Man X Collection doesn't like progressive either, it will cause screen errors, such as rendering the entire game image on the top half of the screen.
