cd x264 ./configure --enable-mp4-output And x264 says: Unknown option --enable-mp4-output, ignored And indeed, if I open configure file, there is no such option. Finally, I could find compiled x264 with mp4 support (see here), but it is 3 years old and I need one more for Windows.

Summary of findings: Files rendered with recent X264 builds with B-Pyramid --strict to MKV / MP4 muxed into Bluray do not play on Panasonics, while rendering the same files to .264 work. The X264 developers also suggested adding the --SAR options to the output as it is officially required by Bluray players.

I was using ffmpeg's preset and params in previous practices But the only problem I have is that ffmpeg is using an older version x264 and not the current one.

Did you confirm that you could generate x264 with ffmpeg, by itself? After confirming that libx264 has value 0x21 when I invoke this on the command line: ffmpeg -i x264-input.mp4 -vcodec libx264 -f mp4 x264-output.mp4 I decided to use 0x21 directly into VideoWriter.open(). That generates a valid and interpretable video file.

Aug 18, 2011 · I have solved it by using the command of "sudo apt-get install x264" and then I use "x264 -o psintrowalk.mp4 psintrowalk.avi" command to compress a video but generated the following error: x264[error]: not compiled with MP4 output support What should I do to enable it to support MP4 format,please?
