Nov 02, 2016 · -x264-params preset=slow:tune=grain--- so that i'm actually using x264's encoding parameters and not ffmpeg's. I just learned about that while searching for the audio support. I was using ffmpeg's preset and params in previous practices But the only problem I have is that ffmpeg is using an older version x264 and not the current one.

So far I have downloaded the latest x264 source from the x264 website. I have installed MINGW on my machine and when I run 'configure' and 'make' I get the x264 static library - but without swscale support. I haven't been able to find a detailed step-by-step guide on how to include swscale in the x264 library.

Jul 30, 2017 · I'm using it with VirtualDub only. For video conversion I use ffmpeg. But, if you want to edit MP4 videos (cut parts of video, join, etc), VDub is the best open source option. In that case x264 is a must have, since it allows for saving edited video as MP4. Works great!4.7/5(29)
