Re: WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE with 10G For line cards that support newer ASIC will forward ingress frames larger than 8092 bytes (support jumbo frames) without dropping it. for old cards that support older ASIC, due to ASIC limitation requires that you limit the MTU size to 8092 bytes for example WS-X6348-RJ-45, WS-X6316-GE-TX cards.
