Does the Windows Phone 8.1 support EAP-TLS Wireless authentication using certificates. I can successfully install certificates on windows phone 8, but cannot find where to configure the phone to use the certificates for EAP-TLS authentication.

Apr 22, 2014 · EAP-TLS is considered one of the most secure EAP standards available, and without it many Windows Phone users were unable to connect to their company’s networks. Reader A2J reports that in his testing Windows Phone 8.1 does indeed now support the standard, allowing him to log into his company’s network with a certificate and that ActiveSync now also works over EAP-TLS.

Feb 04, 2014 · If it does have EAP-TLS support then TTLS should work. The latter is supported in win8 and I don't know if they allow non global certificates for the former.

Nov 27, 2014 · we are facing an issue with windows 8.1 using 802.1x EAP-TLS authentication, before upgrading to 8.1 (running 8) it was working fine with no issues, now after some clients upgraded to 8.1 they are not able to authenticate and always shows "timeout" in the RADIUS Server, those clients were 100% working fine with window 8 and all the other windows versions are working fine.
