Jul 31, 2016 · Windows 8 was flawless, beautiful at default settings - I never touched the DPI scaling control in the display settings. After my update to 8.1, that all went out the Window. Apparently, Microsoft tweaked the DPI scaling code for 8.1, and broke a lot of applications in the process.
