Oct 15, 2015 · I recently purchased the WD TV Live and am I now discover that the Chapter Support for MKV files appears to be limited to having to go through the Options Menu and then selecting the Chapter desired from the list in the sub menu (Chapter 1,2,3 etc). This is far from ideal. Thje ‘Prev’ and ‘Next’ buttons on the remote cannot be used.

WD TV will automatically detect if there is a new firmware upgrade on the USB drive. Or press HOME on the remote, and then select the Alerts icon from the Home UI. Select the firmware upgrade icon, and then press ENTER. You are prompted to perform the firmware upgrade.

I am getting them from the original DVD’s so the chapters are there. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Some have said that the chapter support does not work yet. I have the WD TV Live Hub media player and I can’t figure out why I cannot skip to the next chapter in my movies. The movies are in MKV format, which supports chapters and I can skip to chapters using VLC Media Player, but when I press NEXT on the remote for WD TV Live Hub, it skips to the next movie file, not the next chapter.

The WD TV Live and the WD TV (2nd Gen.) only support up to 2-channel DTS audio. For anything more than 2-channels you might need to passthrough to a receiver that supports decoding DTS. 2.

I have a similar problem. I have used Imgburn to rip the DVD and then used make mkv to convert. When I play the Image burn rip chapters appear and I can skip to different songs in the music dvd.
