I see a few questions and talks of a new NVIDIA driver that allegedly supports Optimus technology, by Nvidia. I use a Dell Vostro 3500 Core i5 4GB RAM, with an Intel Video Card and a Geforce 310M GS. The systems: Ubuntu 13.04 / Win 7 (dual-boot). My question concerns HDMI support with a video card similar to the one I have.

Oct 02, 2019 · I have tried all of the Ubuntu driver from 340 - the latest 384 for Ubuntu 16.04. 340 is the only driver that works. But I am trying to get CUDA working on my Geforce 850m and the 340 driver doesn't support CUDA. I have heard it might be a problem with Optimus. I just want to check it see if anyone has CUDA working on a Geforce 850m under Linux.

Apr 10, 2013 · I've tried the drivers yesterday in Ubuntu Raring on my Optimus-based laptop but I couldn't get it to work. I'll give it another try sometime (hopefully soon) to see if Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail users can get the initial Optimus support that's available in the Nvidia 319.12 graphics drivers.

Interesting. From that above, it would seem to me that it sees the NVIDIA but not the Intel. If Optimus was supposed to be part of this unint, you might need ot look at enabling optimus But I am still just guessing cause it just seems like the NVIDIA does not support that resolution. .
