Nov 09, 2014 · The NAT SCCP Fragmentation Support feature enables the Skinny Application Layer Gateway (ALG) to reassemble skinny control messages. Since this feature was introduced in Cisco IOS version 12.4(6)T, SCCP payloads requiring reassembly and NAT are no longer dropped.

Dec 10, 2011 · The NAT SCCP Fragmentation Support feature prevents skinny control message exchanges from failing in a TCP segmentation scenario because the NAT Skinny Application Layer Gateway (ALG) is able to reassemble the skinny control messages. A segmented payload that requires an IP or port translation will no longer be dropped.

Skinny control messages can also be IP fragmented by using Virtual Fragmentation Reassembly (VFR).

Support for SCCPv17 was added to IOS Zone-Based Firewall via. CSCso53203 Support IOS FW interopreability with CUCM 7.0 running SCCP v17. starting with versions 12.4(20)T1. basically, only a static NAT mapping for SIP or SCCP (tcp 2000) to CM is required on the 2811. I think, but not 100% sure, that the linksys using latest firmware, will let SIP pass OK without any configuration, worst case, as DMZ or port-forwarded device. Of course DMZ would allow SCCP …

Nov 10, 2014 · NAT does not yet support SCCP v17. Until NAT support for SCCP v17 is implemented, the firmware must be downgraded to version 8-3-5 or below so that SCCP v16 is negotiated. CUCM6 will not encounter the NAT problem with any phone load as long as it uses SCCP v16.
