May 12, 2011 · Remote server does not support TLS 1 Recommended Answer. I would like to use an outgoing SMTP server that does not support TLS. There are multiple threads on this topic, but they all just get marked "answered" and closed, with no meaningful response whatsoever. Google is obviously avoiding the issue, and that is a shame.

Jul 08, 2016 · They might say it does but I don't see any evidence. we have a windows 2012 server running RDP apps, using openSSL to test I can't connect with TSL1.0 but can with 1.1 and 1.2. looking at a packet trace from the android client to the server, i see the client attempt to connect using TLS 1.0 and the server resets the connection.

Mar 15, 2016 · As you guys must have seen, gmail has started to show a small red padlock next to emails that originate form email servers that don't support TLS. I was wondering if I enable TLS on outgoing emails does it have any downsides, for example if the email server doesn't support TLS wouldn't the email get rejected? How do you cope with it? The telnet test described above only checks to see if the server advertises SMTP TLS support. This is not quite good enough to get the full picture. That support could be broken, so that any attempt to actually use TLS fails, It does not address what versions of the TLS (or SSL) protocol are supported, nor what Ciphers are available for encryption.
