The Nexus 6P doesn't seem to support the APT-X codec, which vastly improves Bluetooth audio. The quality of standard CSR codec is unbearable. After moving to the Nexus 6P from the Galaxy Note 4, I've stopped using my bluetooth headphones altogether.

Life after APTx with Nexus 5x? ... I can take consolation in that Apple iOS doesn't support APT-X either. However, the Nexus 5X bluetooth audio experience was better for me than with my Nexus 4. I've had good results with my Jaybird Bluebuds X. I don't have a car to test with.
