But if the set up is set to only accept AES but your card only uses TKIP then again your card will not connect. Check the router settings make sure that WPA is selected not WPA2 (your card does not support WPA2) and that AES+TKIP is selected as the encryption method.

Aug 17, 2013 · WPA2 is actually partially supported - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Go to "Network Settings", select Infrastructure Mode, then "Scan", select your SSID, then manually select the encryption type "WPA-PSK (AES)" and proceed to typing in your network key. If it works, lucky you.

If it was Windows 7 then it's possible the router does not support WPA2-PSK[AES] while Windows 10, like Windows 8 and 8.1 no longer supports WPA-PSK[TKIP]. ...
