Aug 26, 2008 · The Mini-500, as all new designs, had a few technical problems along the way. Before closing the factory, Revolution Helicopter sold at their cost an upgrade package called the Mast Support Kit, which included fixes for all the problems the Mini-500 had ever experienced.

Nov 05, 2009 · probably when the ad says updated it means it has the mast support upgrade, and that is a must have, and the PEP kit, which was a custom muffler system that gave you more power. now the problem is some people installed the PEP kit but did not change the carb jets and this caused Issues. go to www.rotaryforum.com and do a search for Mini-500.

Dec 21, 2013 · All of my 100 hrs of Mini-500 time was on helicopters that had this setup and I had no problems except the case got a little warmer than I would have liked. The second one is out of my Texas parts helicopter. It was originally shipped in the kit (S/N 417) which was a factory Bravo model that was originally shipped without the Mast Support ...

Aug 03, 2008 · Mini-500 that does not have the Mast Support upgrade is now worthless as a safe flying helicopter, at any price. Any Mini-500 helicopter that does not have the factory mandated Mast Support upgrade and the other upgrades that came with the kit will forever have problems with frame cracks and flight vibration, which could lead to a crash.

mini 500 253@257 450RC@257RC 450RC is doing good with 167hrs.It has half the mast support stuff. 257RC was doing GREAT until the rod bearings failed on a steep approach at app.100 ft agl. resulting in a hard landing. Lost tail boom, rotors, and tail rotor gearbox. Rebuildable.
