The mail servers have changed. They are now pop.tools.sky.com and smtp.tools.sky.com The ports that these servers listen on are 995 for POP and 465 or 587 for SMTP. These ports require Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to be ticked in whatever email client you choose to use.

All sorted now! Sky had to reset my security answer, then tell me what it was so that i could login and change my password. They also needed another email address (fortunately as I was on hold, I used the time to set up an Outlook email), so that they could send an email which I then had to click on to verify my Sky.

In spite of entering the correct server names (.tools.sky.com) and port settings, when I check the server names using Tools>Account Settings, both the IMAP and SMTP server names have been changed to .sky.com. It looks as if it only has .sky.com in its database for email addresses like mine ([email protected]).

Jan 05, 2017 · Depending on what you are trying to access Windows Live Mail 2012 installed on Windows 10 have some of these options kinda hidden. Under 'File' menu click on 'Options'. Under this has 'Safety Options' and 'Mail' options. Hope this helps.
