Sep 30, 2011 · Yes, "5 Contact Support" usually means your hard drive has crashed (I used to have a 120) and No, a hard reset won't help. If it is still under warranty you can call support (as in the other reply), or you can go to a repair place like rapidrepair.com to see what a new hard drive will cost.

I open, plug my Zune in (not sure if correctly, I'm still learning how to work this), and once I get it on, it says "contact support". It never said it before, so based on searches on this subreddit, it's a faulty cable. I know Microsoft discontinued Zune, so there's no way to contact them, but I don't know what to do.

This did not work however which would imply that there is something physically wrong with the hard drive and only way to make this work is to replace it. The weird thing is that I had not recently dropped the Zune before this happened.
