About this: with the libflashsupport out of pkgsrc there's an audio<->video sync problem. Johannes Hofmann (jh33) has found and fixed the issue, but since libflashsupport is distributed as a binary, it didn't make its way into pkgsrc and might never do so.

Jan 23, 2009 · i386 Servers ONLY: Install the 'libflashsupport' package to allow sound to flow correctly over LTSP/PulseAudio: sudo apt-get install libflashsupport. That should be all you need! (Re)Start Firefox on a thin-client for it to recognize the new plugin.

Package libflashsupport is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source

If it works with alsa it should be possible to make it work with oss but either way, if sound is working it should be possible to test oss-git packages in a virtual environment such as Virtual box or even Qemu.

Adobe flash plugin support lib (OSSv4) @je-vv: As discussed in the previous comments, it needs some patches to build with latest kernels, but unfortunately I haven't had time to get it working with the latest version (4.2 build 2019). oss-nonfree (pre-compiled) should be working though, and maybe also oss-git.

Dec 19, 2009 · libflashsupport.so is now shipped with oss. I sort of had the same trouble. I found out that libflashsupport.so by default uses /dev/dsp, whereas I have a multichannel sound card which uses /dev/dsp0, /dev/dsp1 etc.
