May 04, 2016 · The stream is VC-1, though. Suddenly getting dozens of these (see below). Make me wonder, does LWLibavSource even support VC-1?! Looks like the underlying FFMpeg code is real flaky. I was hoping to avoid having to install ffdshow tools under Win 10, but I may have to. Not even sure LWLibavSource's libav dependency can be overriden, though. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Dec 29, 2017 · So I upgraded to the latest x64 build of ffmpeg and CPU looks a little better. Playing back content other than VC-1 CPU runs around 10-20%. So I will be removing Emby from my Synology and will be using a Windows Emby server setup going forward. Thank you for everyone's help.

wmv3 should be in there. Use ffmpeg -codecs to list what is in your build. Last time I checked no one looked like they were going to do vc-1 but unless you really need vc-1 just use h.264 and you can mux this into an ASF wrapper in the case you have some special Windows/WMV requirements.
