Oct 16, 2012 · Debian Squeeze libc6 version >= 2.15. I wanted to install Stellarium, but unfortunately I get error: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libc6 (>= 2.15) Is there a way to install it? (and safely use?) It's not even in the backports. I got Debian Wheezy too. I will check if I can install it there. But I would prefer to have it running in Squeeze.

Nov 27, 2010 · When I tried to install it via gdebi deb installer in Debian, I got the following error: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libnautilus-extension1 (>= 1:2.22.2) If you add repos and try to install it from there via Synaptic, you will get the error: nautilus-dropbox: Depends: libnautilus-extension1 (>=1:2.22.2) but 2.30.1-2 is to be installed

Debian and Ubuntu have gone to imense effort to extend support out to many years because they are used in long term environments. For someone running Jessie installed in the summer when Jessie was actualluy current stable you have just cut off their support for connection to auto updating windows systems after just a few months.
