It still support DTS and you will need to install certain component manually. To execute DTS packages, you will need to manually install the "Backwrad Compatibility" component which is available on the SQL Server 2008 disc or via web download.

Apr 11, 2008 · DTS support in 2008 is similar to 2005. You can lay DTS bits down alongside SSIS and run the old "upgraded" DTS packages. Strongly suggest you upgrade the packages fully to SSIS. A rewrite may be necessary but that's likely to be easier than when you wrote it for DTS the first time. You can also check out a migration tool from www.dtsxchange.com
