Jan 25, 2004 · So, I got Doom95 and it plays beautifully, except the mouse doesn't work. I've enabled mouse support in the options, and have tried running Doom95 under Windows 95 emulation mode, still no luck. I *need* my Doom fix! I don't want to unpack my old PC and install Windows 95 on it just for this, and I have no space for another PC anyway, so please ...

May 10, 2014 · Hi all, I just got Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II Steam versions today and immediately put together fixes for both of them to disable the mouse y-axis, making them control much more like modern shooters. Also included are tweaked config files to deliver the correct 4:3 aspect ratio, slightly better pixel smoothing and some tweaks to enable more sound channels. Download the fixes from my Dropbox, …

"GZDoom has mouselook which is something that was broken after Windows 95" Doom.exe still allows mouse support ('mouselook' is a term I wouldn't use when referring to the vanilla engine); it's only Doom 95 (the 'official' Windows port) that sucks balls when it comes to mouse support on a modern OS.
