Dojo 1.9 Release Notes — The Dojo Toolkit - Reference Guide

dojo/node ¶. dojo/node now properly loads CommonJS modules that depend on modules that support both CommonJS and AMD but assume that if and AMD environment is detected, don’t return anything for the CommonJS module ().

Dojo 1.10 Release Notes — The Dojo Toolkit - Reference Guide

    https://dojotoolkit.org/reference-guide/1.9/releasenotes/1.10.html
User Agent Support ¶. The following user agents have been tested and are supported in this release. If a user agent version is not listed as supported, it still may work, especially on browsers with rapid release cycles (Chrome, Firefox).

AMD format for modules ¶. All modules in dojo and dijit have been converted to comply with the CommonJS Modules/AsynchronousDefinition (AMD) proposal. [patch] Fix dojo._toDom() to support HTML5 tags IE6-8

    https://bugs.dojotoolkit.org/ticket/11808
Obviously your point of view is your own business, but we never claimed that dojo._toDom() (technically an internal undocumented function) supports new HTML5 tags, SVG, VML, XML or any other tags used in web browsers outside of the common HTML4 realm. https://bugs.dojotoolkit.org/ticket/5955

javascript - Loading dojo fails in internet explorer 8 ...

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10874299/loading-dojo-fails-in-internet-explorer-8
This sounds a wee bit weird as XMLHttpRequest has been supported by IE since 6 n up. Either your installation of IE is fubar or some glitch in the rendering engine makes dojo loader run before window itself is ready.. – mschr Jun 4 '12 at 10:44
