Apr 06, 2015 · I have asked the same question in Kodi forum, and someone said that Kodi needs to be compiled with --enable-joystick --enable-sdl in order to support gamepad, and from his research on OSMC git, Kodi is explicitly compiled with --disable-sdl --disable-joystick.
