Feb 09, 2012 · I recently purchased a Seagate Freeagent Goflex 1.5 TB external, USB-powered, hard drive. The external drive has a USB 3.0/2.0 connectivity; When I connect to my laptop with WIndows XP SP3, the drive is recognized, if it is connected on system booting.; If I connect it after the system is up and running, the drive is not recognized (and worse, the system just hangs).

Jul 02, 2012 · I bought a 2 TB WD My Passport SES USB drive and tried to connect to a windows 2003 64 bit server but the drive is not showing in the local drive list. I checked in Computer management>Device manager>ComputerName>disk drives and found that their is a driver for WD My Passport 0748 usb device.
