Hyperthreading is not the issue, most of the modern Intel multi-core processors support Hyper-threading. I am running Windows 10 on an i7 with hyperthreading, Speed-Step . . . etc. and have no issues! The problem is Windows 10 requires PAE, NX, and SSE2 to be supported on your processor.
