May 18, 2010 · Again, since the D50 does not support SDHC, 2G is its limit. However, while you cannot format a 4G SD card on the D50 itself, Rob Galbraith found out that he can use one on the D50 if you format it elsewhere. The D80 supports SDHC and therefore works with 4G and up SD cards.

Aug 29, 2010 · Nope, it definately doesnt support SDHC cards - I looked into this last year. Most people that had tried ended up with lost shots and cards that didnt work properly as the D50 doesnt have a firmware update that supports it.

Jan 02, 2009 · Nikon recommends keeping one of the approved cards available for troubleshooting. I am currently using a SanDisk Ultra II rated @ 10 MB per second without any issues. I have used an 8 Gig card but support now says it does not recommend or support that size as it is not tested by them.
