I can't find a straight answer to this. Reception on T-Mobile is terrible in my apt, but they advertise a wifi calling feature that should let me make/receive calls over wifi (free of charge w/ their service.). Their page implies that more or less all modern(ish) smartphones should support this, but some internet pages suggest that the Moto G 1st gen does NOT.
