Apr 19, 2018 · Deck Stair Landing Joist Framing All framing is done with Simpson-Strong Tie metal-wood connectors and wood screws. I used H1Z ties and LPC4Z connectors to fastens the 2×8 joists to the 2×10 beams. The beams are bonded together with Simpson SD #10 x 2-1/2 inch long screws to prevent separation and warping:
