Because I have the Amazon instant video too and I never used it on there. Hulu Plus does not work either. I seriously recommend the Roku over the Boxee. It has netflix, hulu plus, amazon instant video, hbo go, it has everything.

I've started replaceing my Boxee Boxes with nVidia ShieldTV (16GB version) boxes, but for Amazon Prime Instant Video, I was using PlayOn/Playlater and bought the Lifetime License, but this requires a separate PC running windows. It does have a trial feature before you have to buy it. Under Kodi I was using the Amazon addon from SuperRepo
