May 07, 2018 · Don't get me wrong, controller support would be nice, but I've been playing both the console version and the pc version since their release and I have to say; I honestly prefer the two separate ways to play. I like the keyboard set up because you can map certain commands to the keys that you can't do with a controller. It's more user friendly.

Sep 10, 2013 · We currently have no plans to support controllers for the PC version, which was designed with mouse and keyboard in mind. The same logic applies to the console: The PS3 & Xbox 360 version of Diablo III was specifically tailored to be played with a controller and does not support mouse and keyboard controls.

Hell, even Bethesda added controller support in ESO already. And works surprisingly well. Even Blizzard's own Overwatch has native controller support on PC.
