Not only does Borderlands 1 support the Xbox for PC controller, I gotta say it's shooting mechanics are some of the best yet. Aim and shoot feel very natural and the movement is silky smooth. Sniper aiming is easy after 2.3 minutes of practicing. Or you could give up after 37 seconds and go back to keyboard and mouse if ya want.

If I am playing borderlands 2 on my TV using Steam big Picture, doesnt full controller support mean I dont EVER need a mouse? ideas on how to disable it?

Jul 22, 2013 · I have the PDP Afterglow wired gamepad for the Xbox 360 and the game recognizes it automatically on my pc. I got this for like $15 for my pc and has been working like a charm on all games that support gamepads. Does those work for the Xbox 360 console natively? If not then my guess is check for drivers for your gamepads.

Oct 26, 2013 · after further research last night i discovered that BL2 and Batman both use Window's Xinput API exclusively for controller support. this means several "plug and play" type controllers will not work. to get the PS4 controller to work with these games you need a driver to "trick" Windows into thinking your controller is in fact an xbox 360 controller. i downloaded and used the files from this ...

Oct 17, 2014 · It ~should~ work but doesn't. As other people have stated, the same controllers that are automatically detected in the Mac/ Linux versions of Borderlands 2 are not detected in BLTPS, nor does the controller submenu appear. That said, I don't believe I've seen one person talk about Playstation controllers not working, just off-brand X360 ones.

I play on PC with a gamepad, and I agree with previous posters about making good use of auto-aim. I also find that turning the sensitivity down in most first person games helps a lot. It does mean you need to start aiming a little earlier but it makes it much easier to control and pull off headshots once you've got the target in your sights.
