Jul 09, 2014 · I'm trying to setup netflow to monitor our Cisco 2960s switches. They are layer 2 switches and Solarwinds tech support suggested I look at nprobe application to, but they don't support it or know how it should be configured. Any help would be appreciated or if you know of any other software that will work with getting the information to netflow.

Supported in the Cisco Catalyst 3560-CX and 2960-CX compact switches, it is a Cisco IOS Software feature that uses sampled flows to provide statistics for network traffic accounting, network monitoring, and network planning.

The Cisco Catalyst 2960-X NetFlow-Lite configuration is pretty straight forward however it is very different from the IPFIX PSAMP “NetFlow-Lite” we configured on the Cisco 4948E NetFlow-Lite.
