Apr 01, 2014 · The official answer on this is no as Backupexec 12 is the first backup solution that is certified for windows server 2008. I'm sure however there's someone who's tried it who can give an idea of problems you might encounter if you were to use it on 2008, not that I would recommend it however, as you more than likely wouldn't have any support for it from symantec if anything went wrong!
