May 10, 2019 · Currently, child support payments are calculated based solely on the income of the paying parent. Under this Act, Arkansas will soon calculate child support payments based on both parents’ income, also known as an income shares model. The Act mandates that a committee revise the family support chart to reflect these changes on or before March 1, 2020.
