Apr 17, 2012 · Sadly, Xvid does not have multi-core support.( . This statement is simply false unless you are referring to single threaded xvid versions (1.1.x). Xvid may not be as efficient as x264 but it does use multiple threads if configured correctly.

Feb 08, 2011 · Autogk or other)-so, the xvid codec can fully support a modern, multi-core CPU? x4, X6 amd, core ix series 4 core etc? My experience: I have a new, x6 amd cpu-six core. And the transcoding speed isn't so fast. a short time ago I used an x2 two core cpu, and now the transcoding isn't significantly faster. Fast, fast, but not too fast.

Sep 19, 2007 · DVDfabs documentation says that it supports multicore proccessors, however do I need to install an Xvid Version that supports multicore or multithread proccessors in order for dvdfab to take advantage of such proccessors? If I do need to install Xvid 1.2, which as far as I know supports multicore, where can I get it?

Multicore's have been out for very long time now and C3D doesn't fully support them how disappointing is that. Ya I sorry to say I know for a fact because I just built a new Skylake computer build with, 6700 processor, M.2 drive and,1070 video and the performance isn't any better then my old computer.

The only DVD to Mobile mode that really make the CPU hump it is H.264. The framerates on this went up >300% for me when multi-core support was added a few months ago. Everything else stayed about the same. As I said, I think the bottleneck is elsewhere.
