Jan 21, 2006 · no, it doesn't since XSLT 2.0 wasn't at "ready enough" stage yet, when specs & development for .NET 2.0 were closed. MS wants to make sure that specs for XSLT are closed, before they provide an implementation. XQuery was dopped off from .NET 2.0 feature list for the very same reason .
