Apr 13, 2009 · Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz. I uninstalled the original toshiba driver 2.5 and uninstalled both WinDVD 9 Plus and PowerDVD 8 Ultra. I then re-installed WinDVD 9 Plus and playback was 100% perfect, and I could view the disc. Apparently these two pieces of software hated that Toshiba UDF driver and it took me a while to figure out why all the stutter.

A few useful XP x64 tricks: ASPI, UDF 2.5, exFAT, EXT2/3/4, ... used on most Blu-Rays. 2.6 is a minor revision otherwise compatible to 2.5, introducing only pseudo-overwrite support when burning media. So I picked only the newest possible file system here. ImgBurn even gives you this nice warning when telling it to burn the disc like that:

I read somewhere that Vista DVD format is UDF 2.5 and I can see that it is definatly UDF format. When I try and read it on Windows XP it appears to be blank. XP supports UDF 2.01 is this why? May 25, 2017 · By default, the Windows UDF Driver (implemented in the \Windows\System32\Drivers\Udfs.sys file) supports UDF versions up to 2.60, providing read-write support for DVD-RAM, CD-R/RW, and DVD +-R/RW drives when using UDF 2.50 and read-only support when using UDF 2.60.
