Aug 09, 2016 · At present I run XASTIR on Ubuntu - Linux 13.04 and have no problems. 0 crashes and does not slow down the system. I run as a VHF - Internet Gateway and it runs in the background with little notice to system performance. The many TNC setup files help to get you on the air fast.5/5(7)

Xastir has a few features targeted to people who used Xastir in demonstrations and other broadcasts where Xastir itself is used over radio. Xastir can auto-ID via voice if Festival is compiled in and/or via a message splashed across the screen.

You may need to reindex your files in Xastir (on the maps menu) and the road names will appear on your maps. I have tested this with both the maps from Geofabrik and bbbike and it works with both. Here are some other tips that may help you improve the display of these maps: 1. The default background color for the map is pretty ugly.

Hello all, I am hitting a roadblock with a new installation of Xastir. The steps I am taking are: Download Xastir git file to /usr/local/bin Run bootstrap.sh mkdir -p build cd build ../configure When I enter ../configure in the build folder, I get a bash "no such file or directory".
