Feb 02, 2011 · The X48 is a Crossfire Only Certified motherboard. SLI was only officially on Nvidia chipsets during this time. (LGA775 / Core 2 Days). Apr 08, 2009 · Now for crossfire, the P35 chipset can support it, generally at 16x,4x with both running at PCI-E 1.x speeds, although a few boards do support 8x,8x. From there the P45, X38, and X48 chipsets all support full PCI-E 2.0, but the P45 does crossfire at 8x,8x and the X38 and X48 do full 16x,16x. None of the boards support SLi.Cooling: Air Black Knight

The Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 does not support multiple graphics cards via Nvidia SLI or AMD Crossfire. The Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 has 12 USB 2.0 slots but no USB 3.0 slots. Aug 07, 2009 · Would be nice if nVidia would just cut the crap and officially support SLI on all Intel chipsets, then I could add a 2nd GTX 260 to my p45 board. As it is, the 2nd PCIe slot can only be used for Physx. I confess I have no idea if it is drivers alone that limit SLI to nVidia chipsets or if it's really something special about nVidia's chipsets.
