Jan 17, 2008 · First, the x1250 driver from livna is the amd driver rpmed for fedora. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. The open source driver is called radeonHD, and I have not tried it, and don't plan to do so until it is more mature. Awesome that AMD has opened this up. Very nice!Reviews: 3

Hi, i'm using Fedora 7, with latest updates and kernel, + 8.42 fglrx from livna, I can't use compiz with AIGLX, XGL works though. Problem when running compiz or beryl is they start, but then display messes up and everything gets out of order, colors change, pixels positions change, etc. Ican't even find out where the menu item fro disabling is.

Feb 09, 2008 · I know fglrx should support Composite since 8.41, but I never could get it working. I seems to be enabled, but actually isn't. A software change on my computer (I'm not sure what caused it) has caused me to lose a lot of graphics ability on my Compaq Presario C306US running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. Before, I could use the "Extra" setting in Visual Effects without suffering a performance hit but can now only use "None" to get good performance.
