May 15, 2015 · PhysX setting is still there, depends on the game. For Metro series for example, u have to disable PhysX in-game or they can quite poor performance on AMD GPUs when that is enabled. But in Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag, PhysX won't be an option on AMD GPU, or if u have NVIDIA GPU but have PhysX set to CPU.

2. Install the game again and during installation you should be asked if you wish to install the PhysX as well. Confirm this and install PhysX from the disc. 3. When updating your gpu drivers, make sure that you choose custom install and untick PhysX from the update to ensure that it won't update the one you have. I hope this helps mileywink:

Later (a bit) as GPU's became powerfull enoigh to do both graphics and compute introduced CUDA as the accelartion platform for PhysX.
