The Domain Search List for Windows is configured using GPO and not DHCP. But if you also use Apple OS or Linux OS based systems you may want to use this option even if you operate a Windows DHCP Server.

Dec 26, 2012 · Furthermore, Windows DHCP Clients do not process this DHCP option at all, and instead rely on Active Directory Group Policy Objects. Recent versions of *NIX (and OSX) seem to happily support DHCP/119 when the client package is correctly configured.
