Sep 10, 2017 · Windows Photo Viewer cannot open this file because either the file format is not supported or you do not have the latest updates to photo viewer When I want to view JPEG images it usually works fine, but for some reason some JPEG images don't work.

Jun 15, 2016 · When I try to open with Photos, it says "IMG_xxxxxxx.jpg We can't open this file." When I try to open with Windows photo viewer it says "Windows photos viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to windows photo viewer" Help pls.

Jul 30, 2014 · "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer" I wasn't installing any programs lately or messing around with drivers, and I even tried opening these pictures with Microsoft Office Picture Manager and it just shows broken picture icon.

Jun 20, 2012 · This problem occurs because, by default, Windows Photo Gallery will not open an image file which is larger than 100 megapixels. For example, if you scan a full 8.5x11" page using a resolution of 1200 dpi, the resulting image file will be extremely large (approximately 136 megapixels). This exceeds the default size limit for Windows Photo Gallery.
