Tenant support - STAR. Supporting Tenants and Residents (STAR) provides housing support for council tenants in Leicester. The support is provided to people who have been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless without support.
Tenants Queensland is a statewide community and legal service established in 1986. STAR Inc began in 1986 under the name Action for the Intellectually Disabled People –Tenancy Support Scheme. Founded by a group of parents who were concerned for their children who had an intellectual disability, their concerns arose from the implementation of the de-institutionalization policy being proposed by the government of the day.
