Jul 31, 2011 · Unfortunately, IE8 was removed. I tried that. From what I read, the installed IE8 cannot be put back on windows 7 if it has been removed. I tried the uninstall IE9 update, which removed it, and put me back at IE8; however, in a stupid moment, thinking IE9 would work better, I removed IE8 entirely.

Internet Explorer 8 is built-in to Windows 7, so it cannot be uninstalled - only turned on/off. Since it cannot be uninstalled, it also cannot be installed, so there is not an installation package that will allow you to "install" IE8 on Windows 7, because it is already there.
