Nov 27, 2009 · I have installed Windows-7 Professional on my desktop and My laptop has Windows XP. The two computers were connected by a network (wiFi for the laptop, cable for the desktop) that worked fine. After I installed Windows-7 both computers still have internet access but neither regognises the other on the network.

May 15, 2019 · I have the computers, Windows 10 and Windows 7, connect by a crossover ethernet cable. I can see both computer in the network using WorkGroup, you can select no password protection. I can open Windows 10 computer on Windows 7 computer. I can NOT open Windows 7 computer on the Windows 10 computer.

When this 10-year period ends, Microsoft will discontinue Windows 7 support so that we can focus our investment on supporting newer technologies and great new experiences.
