I am trying to open a Japanese language document and it is telling me that I need to update the Japanese language support package. When I try to do so, I can find no package for DC and I am told I need to download the older verison Adobe X. When I try to download Adobe X, it is telling me I already have a newer version of Adobe (i.e. DC).

Dealt with this today. It seems to have something to do with the Myriad Pro font and pasting text from another application. I am working with LiveCycle and ran into this today.

I was having this issue with one of my clients. Turns out she was using adobe acrobat 7. I tried opening the pdf on my pc with adobe reader 8 and it worked like a charm I suspect if someone authors a pdf with adobe 8 that it has issues being backwards compatible. I am going to install adobe reader 8 on her pc and see if it resolves the issue.

This wasn’t exactly user-friendly or convenient, so I kept looking. Adobe Acrobat gave no clues as to how change the “current configuration” to allow the Simplified Chinese Language support, though I believe this also would have affected PDFs with Japanese, Korean, or Chinese Traditional characters in them.

Dec 06, 2002 · Whenever I open a Japanese PDF with the Japanese version of Acrobat Reader, it displays correctly, but whenever I open it with the default (English-language version) there is just a blank document and an error-message telling me to install the Japanese Support Pack.
